How long have you been a farmer?
We are the third generation, at least… Our specialties: pears, cherries, pomegranates, olives and organic vines.
How long in organic and why?
I took over the family business. Having a preference for arboriculture, I developed it by reducing the number of vines in favor of trees. In 2010, I chose organic for well-being, health, and my personal pride.
What do you like about your job?
The pleasure of getting up in the morning, being your own boss and making decisions. The fact of being organic adds to this pleasure: contributing to the well-being of the population, to its health.
A trick to have beautiful vegetables?
Work, work, work! Observation and common sense… You also have to know how to rely on the technicians and strictly respect agricultural recommendations.
Why did you trust the Coop?
The links have been forged over time. At the beginning, I worked with several organic structures and the very good relations with the management of the Coop did the rest.
What are the strengths of the Coop?
Quality human relationships (very important!). His dynamism, his desire to move forward. The excellent relations between the producers and all the staff of the Coop: technicians, commercial, administrative, etc.
When you are not working what do you like to do?
A bit of sport, participating in local traditions and winter, a quiet season for me, if possible go out in the sun.
