What do you like in your job?
Nature, the organizational freedom of work, the relationship to the environment, to the climate, as well as the absence of daily routine.
And organic, why, since when?
Since 2008. I took over the farm when my father died at that time, the orchard was already very diversified. The site of the farm being exceptional in terms of biodiversity and being classified Natura 2000 all around it, it was quite logical to ask the question which subsequently became obvious.
What is the right method to have beautiful fruits?
Quality requires regular monitoring and constant observation of the trees in order to have optimal responsiveness. To help me, I am surrounded by our technical team within the group. The key to producing organically is through anticipation… especially at the start of the conversion… Thereafter, the trees end up better developing their immune system and the addition of auxiliaries on a case-by-case basis also greatly contributes to this. Summary: a lot of observation, patience and conviction in everything you do in life in general.
Why did you trust the Coop?
After meeting the management team of the Coop, as well as its structure, a great professionalism and solid convictions emerged which reassured me in my desire to join them.
What are the strengths?
Its commercial network very well developed thanks to a dynamic team and has a very diversified offer of fruits and vegetables, as well as being recognized as the first organic fair trade cooperative in France.
And outside of work?
I like spending time with my family, playing sports when the weather permits (swimming, skiing), and having good meals with friends.
